The City of Friendswood Community Services Department is hosting the Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run Competition on Tuesday, April 21, 2011. The event will be held at Renwick Park Field #5, 205 Stadium Drive, starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m.
Boys and girls ages 7 - 14 years (age as of July 16, 2011) will be eligible for competition. Participants will compete in three important aspects of baseball: batting, fielding/throwing and base running. Ribbons will be given to the All-Around Champion, All-Round Runner-Up, All-Around Third Place, Batting Champion, Fielding/Throwing Champion and Base-Running Champion for each age group.
There is no charge for the competition and registration will take place at Renwick Park on the day of the event. A copy of the participant's birth certificate or religious document (baptismal record) will be required for proof of age and eligibility. The batting, throwing, base running and all-around champions for each age group will qualify for the sectional competition to be held in May.
