Final Beltway 8 Northeast Construction Begins

If you live in Fall Creek or you take the East Belt up to
Intercontinental Airport, the moment you’ve been waiting for is here! The final northeast segment of the Sam Houston Tollway (13 miles connecting US 59 North and US 90 East) is beginning construction. It will have three lanes in each direction, and should be finished in early 2011.
Traffic Trivia:
Did you know construction began back in 1985 and the beltway makes a 75 mile loop around Houston?
