Yucky But Interesting Info on National Geographic Wild

I just caught a part of a show called Rat Genius. It showed a rat swimming up through a toilet, proving it is possible that rats could come into your house through the sewer pipes. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.
They can hold their breaths and swim under water for up to 3 minutes, and can swim (like a dog paddle) for up to three days, using their tails as a rudder.
In Africa they have trained rats to sniff out land mines.
In a year, one rat couple can produce 15,000 decendants.
Hopefully this blog post doesn't have anything to do with YOUR home, but it was hard to get the visual out of my mind, so I'm passing it on for others to enjoy. Hope you have a rat-free Fourth!
