When you choose a Buyer's Agent, make sure you empower your agent to do everything possible to further your goals. Always ask your agent to show you the properties you are interested in, instead of calling the listing agent directly.
If the listing agent shows you a home, everything you say can and will be used against you in negotiations. The listing agent works for the seller, and has a duty to report all he/she learns about you, your situation, your finances, your motivation, etc. to the seller.
Don't compromise your position just because you’re anxious to see a house.
