There are few things that peeve me more than watching people waste resources, or seeing bullies and litterbugs in action. It just screams, "No class!" I saw a full fast food bag in the street last night, so I wanted to share this site.
We can now do something proactive when we see trash being tossed out of a car window. Whether it's a can, cup, cigarette butt, fast food wrapper, or worse, you can use the Texas Department of Transportation's Report a Litterer Program to help clean up our state.
As long as the car has Texas tags, you should write down the license plate number, make and color of vehicle, date and time, location, who tossed the litter and what was tossed. Follow the link below to find the online reporting form.
TxDOT compares the information to its vehicle registration database. When an exact match is found, they send the litterer a Don't Mess with Texas litterbag and a letter reminding them to keep their trash off of our roads.
