Keep Pearland Beautiful announced new recycling options for the citizens of Pearland. Residents living in single family homes and residing inside the city limits of Pearland, are able to recycle more products curbside. Waste Management added these new items for collection in your curbside bin:
Recycling just got even easier! Effective immediately, Waste Management will now accept curbside these additional items for recycling:
• Magazines
• Catalogs
• telephone books
• printer and copier paper
• cereal boxes
• mail (i.e. junk mail) is acceptable
• Cardboard (flattened)
• Plastics all codes (1,2,3,4,5,6 & 7)
To make the recycling process more efficient:
• Please place your bin at the curb by 7am on your recycling day.
• Please do not include any items with food waste on items and
please make sure all items are clean.
• You can use additional personal containers as long as they are clearly marked “Recycling Materials”.
• Do not include food waste, films, plastic bags, plastic wrap, or foam cups and containers.
If you do not have a curbside bin, please call the Utility Billing Department of Pearland at (281) 652-1603 to check the availability of bins. You may pick one up at City Hall, 3519 Liberty Dr., Pearland, TX 77581 or the Public Safety Bldg., 2555 Cullen Prkwy. and their number is (281) 997-5950.
Again, you must reside inside the city limits of Pearland; portions of Silverlake are not in the City. Generally, if you receive your water bill from a MUD, you must contact Waste Management to request a bin at (713) 686-6666.
