The headling "Buying A Home May Never Get Any Cheaper" grabbed my attention - and most likely yours as you are reading this blog. CNN.money states
"Buying a home may never get any cheaper than this. Several housing experts are predicting that this year will be the last chance for bargain hunters to cash in on the best deals of the weak housing market.
With home prices down 34% nationally since 2006 and mortgage rates at historic lows, homes have never been more affordable -- but it won't stay this way for much longer."
This article does not mean you should panic and buy the first thing you see, but it is a reminder that the good times may not last forever. If you are considering buying a home in the near future, now may be the time to start the process:
* Find a lender who can pre-qualify you and find out how much home you can afford
* Look at your budget - just because a lender says you can afford X amount of dollars doesn't mean you should
* Do a preliminary look at homes in your price range. Check out communities and neighborhoods. Decide what amneties you HAVE to have and which ones are negotiable. All this will help you decide what you get for your money and spot a great price when you see it. Since you are pre-approved, you would then be able to act
