How do you judge a good Realtor? Do you view them as successful by how they dress or the car they drive? As I drive around in my 100,000+ mile mini van, I realize that some might judge me by my car. How can she be a good Realtor if she drives a mini van?
As I display on my rear window, there is a reason I drive a mini van - three kids in college. Given the choice between my kids college and a new car I will always choose my kids. There are advantages too - how many Realtors can accommodate your entire family and an ice chest for snacks? Following your agent in your car? - easy to follow a mini van in any traffic! If I manage my money this carefully, you can know I will work to save - or make you money with the same drive.
So how should you judge a Realtor? See what others are saying - ask for referrals or read online reviews such as the HAR client experience rating (sent to ALL of the agents clients - not just the ones they have hand picked) Have a conversation, ask questions - do you have a good connection with them? Are they knowledgeable? Are they responsive to your questions? Do they listen to you? Are they current with technology?
The bottom-line is there are lots of ways to determine if a Realtor is a good fit for you - just don't judge them by what they drive
