Nationally, the share of foreclosure sales was 26% of all home sales. Therefore, the state of Texas barely reaches half of the national average.
The average foreclosure sales price in the Lone Star state was $142,049, which is 27% lower than the average non-foreclosure price.. Even in states with the highest percentage of foreclosure sales, the numbers are lower than previous years indicating that the foreclosure inventories are decreasing.
