What Do Buyers Want The Most From Their Agent?

Every year the National Association of REALTORS publishes the national Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers gathering detailed information about the home buying and selling process. This service found out that the two top things buyers want the most from Real Estate Agents are:

1. To help find the right home: 46%
2. To help negotiate the price and terms of sale: 29%

Now, the actual benefits provided by their Real Estate agent during the home purchase were:

1. Helped buyer understand the process: 63%
2. Pointed out unnoticed features/faults with property: 53%
3. Negotiated better sales contract terms: 42%
4. Improved buyer's knowledge of search areas: 41%
5. Provided a better list of service providers: 41%
6. Negotiated a better sales price: 36%

It is interesting to notice that after having closed on their home, only 36% of the buyers believed their agent helped them negotiate a better price!!!
