My main market area is the Katy market but I also cover the Sugarland and surrounding areas which is in the Fort Bend Independent School District. My previous blog about the top 1,600 High Schools concentrated on the Katy ISD which has 4 schools in the Newsweek list. Even more impressive is that Fort Bend ISD has 5 high schools in the list of the best high schools in the US. The data used is from 2009 and only approximate 6% or 96 schools are public and not private schools.

Sugarland Clements High school was the highest rated Fort Bend School at number 314. In addition, Fort Bend ISD had Fort Bend Austin at 823; Fort Bend Elkins at 916; Dulles at 943; and Kempner at 1,023. The Fort Bend School District has 5 out of a total of 11 high schools ( one opens next school year) in the district in the list of best high schools in the entire US. That is a very impressive statistic.

Between Katy ISD and Fort Bend IDS there are 9 High Schools from those two districts in the Newsweek list. What is stunning to me is that the Newsweek list only has approximately 96 public schools on their entire ccompilation and we have 9 or approximately 9 % of the public school right here in the Katy and Sugarland areas!!! WOW... If any future home buyer has children then they need to seriously consider either of these two fine areas to live. How can you go wrong?
