An HEB spokesperson was recently quoted that the new HEB in Katy will have its grand opening  on Wednesday August 4, 2010. The store is located at Katy Main Street or I-10 at Pin Oak. On July 6, 2010 I wrote a blog about this store but I was not sure when it would open. On July 13, 2010 I wrote another blog about how to apply for a job at this store based on E-mail requests I received from initially one individual and eventually several inquiries. Please read my previous blogs especially if you are interested in applying for a job.

The 85,000 sq. ft. store will have many of the normal HEB amenities such as cooking connection with live cooking demonstrations and actual cooking classes. The store unfortunately will not have a cafe on the run. I personally really like the cafe on the run as it saves a lot of time and energy if you are struggling trying to figure out what to have for dinner. The store will have a large variety of products that have been specifically selected based on the Katy location.

The Katy community continues its tremendous growth and adding another HEB is evidence that things are certainly not slowing down. As we say n our web site " Katy has it all" and there are excellent new and resale homes available right now. Check out these homes now while Internet rate remain low.
