We live in an “information at your fingertips” society and anyone and everyone can pull up all kinds of statistics about anything they want—namely, detailed information about your property.  They can pull up past sales in your area, recent sales, average home prices and tax values, to name just a few.  It’s important to search out this information yourself to get a better idea of where your home should be priced.  You can certainly talk to your agent about this and they can help guide you to the best possible scenario for your property.

•  A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

After your home is listed, go to your agent’s website to see what everyone else sees.  Make sure your photos look professional and bring out the best aspects of your home.  Also, make sure there are detailed descriptions that bring to light the features of the space.  Be sure that the pictures are of clean, well organized and decorated rooms; make sure they are clutter free.

• Words To Live By

Read the description of your home given by the agent on your listing.  Is your home’s description accurate and full of reason why someone should make an offer?  Bring it to life with colorful words and adjectives.
