Here are some things to consider when dealing with large scale rooms:

• Find large pieces of furniture with vivid or deep color and texture to give the feeling of warmth and comfort. Make sure it feels like a home and stay away from the feel of “can’t touch, can’t sit” type of furnishings.
• Add some color to the walls; darker paint colors and architectural detailing bring the walls in visually.
