For the past month, directors/brothers Adam and Mark Kassen have been in town shooting their film Safety Point at various locations such as the Heights, 2 Houston Center and near Almeda Mall. It's a legal drama with a plot that IMDB describes as "A David and Goliath law drama about a drug-addicted lawyer who takes on a health supply corporation while battling his own personal demons."
The films' stars include Chris Evans (Push, The Fantastic Four), Houston native Brett Cullen (Lost, The Runaways), Marshall Bell (Deadwood, Twins), Jesse Martin (Law & Order, Rent) and ... Michael Biehn (Terminator).
Some wall posts about the filming have been made on the movie's Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/safetypointmovie#!/safetypointmovie?v=wall, including this from a Matt Tramel:
Finished a good day of filming for Safety Point. Fun working with two very established actors, Brett Cullen (LOST) and Marshall Bell (George/Kuato from TOTAL RECALL). Looking forward to tomorrow.
If you or someone you know is interested in being an extra, visit the film's Web site at http://www.safetypointmovie.com/ where information is available about where to show up and what to wear.

Wow! I was actually showing a house to a client when some lady knocked on the door looking for the owner so she could explain about the filming happening next door. It was dark and icy cold, I thought it was an odd thing for someone to say who just knocked on the door, it wasn't my house and I wanted to stay focused on my client so I quickly explained the owner wasn't home, etc. Who knew??
