Vinegar can be your helping hand around the house.

Vinegar is a multipurpose product that is inexpensive and environmentally friendly. It can be used in many ways around the house from cleaning the coffee pot to the dishwasher and more. Try placing a cup of vinegar in the top rack of your dishwasher and run a hot cycle (with nothing else in there) to remove soap build-up and deodorize your machine.
Another trick I've used recently is to take 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar to clean a drain. Sprinkle the baking soda in the drain and slowly pour the vinegar over it. It will bubble as it mixes. Then just rinse clean.
