With now Tropical Storm Isaac hanging over Louisiana and drenching the area with large amounts of rainfall, it reminds us that we should take precautions and be prepared if a storm or some other disaster happens in our area. As always you should have an established family plan in case of emergency but there is another area that you can do in advance that you might not have thought of...a home inventory list. A home inventory can help you recover more quickly from damages due to storms, floods, and fire. There are apps out there that can help you take inventory and track your valuables or you can snap photos or video throughout your home so that if damage does occur you have an inventory ready.

Remember, hurricane season goes through November...be prepared.
