Come and enjoy our local theatrical talent this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as the Katy Visual and Performing Art Center presents the musical drama The Burnt Part Boys.
Fourteen year-old Pete is fighting to claim his past. His older brother Jake is hoping to forge a future. With an eclectic band of friends teetering on the brink of adulthood, they have embarked on a life-altering journey to the coal mine that took their father's life. With its soaring, elegiac bluegrass and pop-inspired score, this inspirational new musical finds both the streaks of light and the heart of darkness within us all.
Tickets are available through KVAPC's website.
It is an unfortunate reality that either we or someone we know may be affected by dementia or Alzheimer's disease. In an effort to answer questions and bring understanding about these conditions, a presentation by the dynamic speaker Teepa Snow is being offered free at the Solana at Cinco Ranch this Tuesday, July 23rd. Seating is limited, please RSVP at 281-395-9600 or kweiss@thesolana.com.
