Cinco Ranch Summer Camps for 2010

Pirate Training Camp June 30th

Prince and Princess Prep Camp July 14th

Both camps run from 9am until 2:30pm for ages 3-10 (students will be divided by age.)  The cost is $45 per child and each child is asked to bring a sack lunch.  There will be a performance and gallery for parents at 2:00pm each day. To register please Click Here or call 281-829-ARTS.

SmART! Camp August 2nd-6th

Camp will be Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm. The cost is $150 per child.  This is a brush-up course for ages 4-6 to prep them for school.  Art is the basis and framework for all academic subjects.  There will be a gallery and performance for parents at 11am on Friday the 6th.  All students will be given a "I'm a SmART! Kid" t-shirt. The focus will be on Social Studies, Math, and Reading through Art and Theatre.To register please Click Here or call 281-829-ARTS.

Mad Science Camp July 19th-23rd

Fame Fortune and Science! For ages 6-12

Take a trip with some of the most famous scientists and see how they changed the world. A different topic and scientist is covered every day! Campers will learn a variety of science from chemistry and growing their own crystal gardens to space exploration and making a planisphere to track constellations in the night sky. Dive into the world's oceans and safari into the animal world. It's going to be a fantastic voyage!

Camp is Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm. The price per child for the week is $260. Early drop off and late pick up will be available for an additional charge. Mad Science Camp August 16th-20th

How Does it Work? For ages 6-12

Take an in-depth look at the science behind everyday inventions and cool science in this camp about the mechanical world. We'll see how real life inventors make their ideas come to life while making our own inventions and building an incredible image inverter. Learn about simple machines and radical robots and even build your own catapult. Become a Junior Engineer and help build a giant geodesic dome and we'll climb inside! My First Lab For Ages 3-5

Preschoolers will journey through the basics of science exploration and discovery. We’ll study light, color and the world around us. Through story telling and even some sing-a-longs, we will travel step by step through some awesome experiments!

Mad Science Camp August 16th-20th

How Does Your Garden Grow? For ages 3-5

Mad Science explores the way things grow in this “down to earth” preschool camp. Learn about plants by dissecting seeds, making leaf rubbings and creating framable fruit and veggie prints. Investigate the world of worms… yes, WORMS!... Put on your bee-utiful Bug Costume and flutter by the camp as you learn about one of a flower’s favorite pollinators! Come see what the buzz is all about!

Cinco Life Kid's Cooking Camp 2010

“Cookin’ With The Family”

 

Monday thru Friday (7/26-7/30 & possible 8/9-8/14) 12:00pm – 3:00p              

Cost per child is $225/week ($45/day)

Ages 10 thru 16 are eligible to participate

Maximum class size is 20 children

Sign-up deadline will be one (1) week prior to the start of the cooking camp. To register contact Jessica at Jessica @mycincoranch.com.

  • The format for each class will be “demo-style” with child participation one-at-a-time with Chef Tim and his assistant
  • Each child will prep the ingredients of each recipe for a “family-friendly dinner for 4”
  • Child-safe plastic knives will be used for any ingredients that need to be cut
  • The ingredients will be placed in ziplock bags and packaged “per recipe” to be cooked and finished at home with their mom, dad or adult each evening
  • All recipes will be provided for every meal at each class
  • All participants will be required to have their own clean, cloth apron
  • All participants must wear pants…….not shorts or skirts
  • All participants must wear rubber-soled shoes, tennis shoes, basketball shoes, etc.
  • All participants must bring their own hand sanitizer in a “pump bottle”
  • Each child must bring a “tote container” which will be filled with the ingredients that will be cooked that evening at home
  • All participants with long hair must wear it tied back or up in some form
  • All participants must wear a baseball cap-style hair restraint for food protection
  • No rings or earrings may be worn during the cooking class as a food safety measure
  • Cinco Ranch Lake House will provide small bottles of water and some other form of non-carbonated, healthy-choice beverage for the participants
  • Each responsible adult must sign a waiver form PER CHILD releasing Chef Tim Mehne, Cinco Ranch Lake House, CincoLife and C.I.A Services, Inc. from any injury that may result from activities during the cooking classes. This form will be provided by Chef Tim.
