The Presidents Heads

April 7th, 2010

I learned yesterday that the Presidents Heads located on Highway 288 South in Pearland have been moved. I will miss seeing them when I drive back from down town Houston.  It is my understanding that the heads were created by David Adicke who has a studio in Houston.  His art studio is open to the public for viewing.

It is reported that the removal of the Presidents Heads came after the bank foreclosure of the 48 acres that was a proposed development site for a mixture of retail /commercial and residential area called the Presidential Park and Gardens.

Fortunately, the developers are not giving up on the development project and are looking for a new site.

Very Interesting! I didn't know very much about "The Pearland President's Heads" until your blog. Thanks!
