I challenge myself to create

That one person who is

I pursue

Friendship

 Kindness

 Love

 Peace

And the acceptance

Pathway to our Star

There is this silent whispering

From whence I do not know

It fills each soul with wonderment

As life does easy flow

It’s constant as the ocean’s tide

That every day does rise

As lustrous as the sun at dawn

That brightens morning skies

It’s precious as the evening rose

That closes for the night

As happy as a child’s call

When they find new delight

It brings a wondrous energy

A sense of confidence

Allowing all to understand

A life with no pretense

It is a woman and her heart

Her kindness and her dream

The angel who protects from harm

With wisdom it does seem

It is today and yesterday

Tomorrow yet to be

A focus on the choice we make

The opportunity

To live and love and be again

The reason that we are

Forevermore accepting

This pathway to our star

The Autumn Equinox

The autumn equinox appears

With full moon harvest bright

This is a day most beautiful

From dawn till dark of night

The crops grow ripe and plentiful

The sea tides course the earth

For every thing is full with grace

When mankind finds rebirth

There is a sense of elegance

A sense of déjà vu

As with the changing seasons

The dreams of life come true

Seedlings in the spring that grew

Through summer’s nurturing

Are harvested and shared with us

As we of nature sing

One thousand million leaves all fall

In forests with no sound

And fairies sprinkle golden dust

So crops will all abound

Lovers take a moments rest

To nourish and regain

The strength of loves commitment

Beneath the autumn rain

Then gatherers accumulate

Their harvests bountiful

As they reveal each autumn day

To be most magical

Believe the rainbows in the mist

That crystallize the sky

And share life’s history of time

On which you can rely

Then take the village biking path

Along its scenic way

Where everything is beautiful

With nature on display

Come fish the jetty granite strong

Where friendly folks are found

Or gather seashells from the Gulf

Whose beauty does astound

So many things so wonderful

In Surfside by The Sea

Where everyone who comes to stay

Lives life most happily

If we might share our special dreams

Would they be those come true

Some wondrous moments in our time

When we did life renew

If we could touch the Milky Way

Would it be sugar sweet

And would each star awaiting there

Reveal a fragrant treat

If we could every rainbow ride

Into each misted cloud

Would we be happy travelers

Alone without a crowd

If we could have most anything

Just what would that now be

Success, great wealth or love fulfilled

When choosing from these three

If we could share a secret held

One kept for many years

Would its release bring happiness

And wash away our tears

If we in life could intertwine

Each talent and each thought

Would they through time run parallel

As we by them were caught

If all these questions would be asked

With answers very few

I do believe true friendships shared

Would help us life renew

Stardust on Display

There is a new excitement now

That’s knocking at the door

A sense of transformation too

Where ecstasy is pure

Where every day we find is new

From dawn till dusk at night

And those we love are plentiful

And never far from sight

It is a time where energy

Does seem to endless flow

And where our passion to believe

In dreams does stronger grow

A time where introspection too

Identifies the way

To step beyond the one we are

With stardust on display

It is a time of harmony

As we become aware

Of all those special hearts and minds

Now placed within our care

A time for new discoveries

For love and mentoring

For growing far beyond ourselves

As happiness we bring

It is a time for honoring

The talents we possess

Allowing them to guide our hearts

As they our lives caress

A time for friendships new and old

To step beyond the past

Assuring love and strength and hope

Forevermore will last

So join me in this journey now

So Constant and So True

Now every day most everywhere

Is magical I’m sure

Yet when I share them with the sea

There is no better cure

The waves seem almost mystical

So constant and so true

Forever through eternity

Each day they life renew

The sun though never far away

Reveals a treasures chest

Of all things bright and beautiful

That o’er the sea do crest

The gulls and too the pelicans

Traversing every beach

Though seemingly now very close

Are just beyond my reach

It’s then I tiptoe through the tides

Refreshingly so clear

And watch this most amazing place

With creatures drawing near

Sea trout, red fish and manta rays

Are just one step away

There’s nothing more fantastical

Than nature on display
