Texas Economy-Powerful Economic Engine for the Coming Decade

November 15th, 2010

The respected forecaster IHS Global insight predicts the Lone Star State is apparently poised to be the nation's most powerful economic engine for the coming decade. According to  IHS Global insight, Texas will lead the U.S. in job growth for the next five to 10 years.

The state's performance and prospects have put a smile on the face of economist Patrick Jankowski at the Greater Houston Partnership.

According to Jankowski: "Houston's houses still remain a bargain that brings the people here. The low cost of doing business and the low regulatory climate: That brings the companies here. It becomes a very nice mesh with the businesses coming here because they know they can find a workforce and the people come here because they know they can find a job."
