You’ve been approved for a loan, we have gone over your home criteria, we have searched the listings and we’ve chosen houses to start our search. These are exciting times!
So what’s next? I have to make an appointment to see each house. There are showing instructions with each house and they are all different. I need to know if they are vacant or occupied, alarm, dog, etc. The current owner of the house also needs to be notified that we are going to be in their house. All of this takes time to set up and most sellers need sufficient notice. This means that we have to plan ahead and stick to our time frame. We must show up on time, sellers are not happy if we show up early or late. While we are driving from one house to the next you might see a for sale sign at a house that’s not on our list. No, we can’t just stop and go in. We don’t have an appointment or showing instructions and most likely it didn’t fit your criteria. It might be in the wrong price range, not have the number of rooms you want or it might have an offer on it and the “sale pending” sign hasn’t gone up yet (I'll check on it later to make sure). Plus, we have to stay on schedule for the houses that we do have appointments for. So we continue to our next showing and the next until we find the perfect home for you.
Happy house hunting!
