Fireworks will ignite the sky, and country tunes will set the stage for Houston’s annual patriotic celebration, US Family Health Plan Freedom Over Texas from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Monday, July 4 at Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou (along Allen Parkway).

Enjoy an evening with the Houston Symphony listening to patriotic, toe-tapping American music. Make sure to stay until the end for the 1812 Overture-complete with booming cannons! This celebration concludes with a magnificent display of fireworks provided by Miller Theatre Advisory Board.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm. If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill.

Celebrate Independence Day with a true Houston tradition at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Featuring patriotic tunes and post-concert fireworks, this year’s Star-Spangled Salute showcases vocalist Ryan Shaw’s soulful sound and the spirited leadership of our new Principal POPS Conductor, Steven Reineke. Plus enjoy favorites like our Service Medley and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands with great food, live entertainment, children's activities and family fun at multiple parks around The Woodlands from 6 to 10 p.m.! The event culminates with one of the largest fireworks displays in the Greater Houston area with the 18+ minute Fireworks Extravaganza beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m. (Please Note: To ensure spectators have best fireworks visibility possible, fireworks teaser shots will be fired every ten minutes beginning at 9 p.m.)

4th Fest in Pasadena

4th Fest is Pasadena’s largest city-sponsored event! Celebrate the 4th of July with us at the Pasadena Convention Center (7902 Fairmont Parkway) from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. There will be a 20 minute long fireworks show, live music, a car show, Kidzone, new attractions, USMC Toys for Tots BBQ Cook-off, games, prizes, vendors, sports and other entertainment.
