Houston Area Fourth of July Events

June 30th, 2017



Parades, activities, and fireworks – oh my! If you’re traveling to Houston, or your family is having a “staycation,” you’ll find plenty of things to do on the Fourth of July.

You can start your morning off with an Independence Day parade, enjoy live music and activities throughout the day, and end your evening in a bang! Here’s just a sample of some Houston area events.

Houston – Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Citgo Freedom Over Texas

Eleanor Tinsley Park & Sam Houston Park

Enjoy live music from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on several stages throughout the parks. Don’t miss the fireworks show at dusk.

Citycentre Fourth of July Music & Fireworks

800 Town & Country Boulevard

From 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. you can listen to country and rock bands perform, and catch the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights: A Star-Spangled Salute

Miller Outdoor Theatre

This annual concert begins at 8:30 p.m. and features vocalist, Ryan Shaw. Fireworks will end the show at 10:00 p.m.

Jersey Village – Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Independence Day Parade

Civic Center down Jersey Drive to Clark Henry Park

The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will feature bands, floats, and bicycles. There will be popsicles in the park afterward.

Memorial City – Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Fourth of July Snow & Ice Celebration

The Square at Memorial City

You read it right—snow and ice—in Houston—in July! From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. you can play in 20,000 pounds of snow while eating frozen treats.

Spring/Klein – Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Wetn’Wild SplashTown Fireworks Show

What could be more fun than celebrating the Fourth of July in a water park? Get wet, splash around, and watch fireworks at dusk.

Sugar Land – Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Star-Spangled Spectacular

Celebrate the Fourth of July with food, music, and fireworks at Sugar Land’s Fourth of July Celebration. The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends with fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

The Woodlands – Tuesday, July 4, 2017

South County Fourth of July Parade

The Woodlands United Methodist Church

Start your morning off with a Fourth of July Parade. The procession begins at 9:00 a.m. and will feature marching bands, clowns, and floats!

Red, Hot, & Blue Festival & Fireworks Extravaganza

This festival is in its 20th year, so you know it will be a good time! Join the party from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; ending with fireworks.
