Since the completion of One Hughes Landing, being 92% leased, and and Two Hughes Landing underway, new restaurants in Hughes Landing are signing up to be part of the Restaurant Row. Featuring lakeside settings at the heart of The Woodlands, two new eateries: Whiskey Cake and Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex and Tequila, will soon begin construction.

Of these new restaurants in Hughes Landings, Whiskey Cake, is expected to open in early 2015 at Restaurant Row. The “farm-to-fork”, “garden-to-glass” restaurant will serve dishes made from fresh, seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced along with innovative appetizers, rotisserie meats and the famous Whiskey Cake for dessert. The contemporary design of the interior will include reclaimed architectural elements that create a comfortable and inviting environment.

Meanwhile, Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex & Tequila has signed a 5,600-square-foot lease, with opening anticipated in late 2014. This will be the sixth location for the eatery in the Houston area and the first in The Woodlands. Escalante’s features “made from scratch” Tex-Mex cuisine with the highest quality ingredients and attention to detail. The restaurant will also offer patio seating with views of the lake.
