Things To Do in March Montgomery TX

What’s new, Montgomery? As the area continues to grow, you may need to broaden your to do list and some of those new things may get you back on track for your 2019 resolutions!  

A new fitness studio may have its grand opening in early March on Woodforest Parkway. Hotworx is a 24-hour fitness studio that will offer infrared exercise classes, yoga, Pilates, cycling and rowing. Infrared exercise boast the benefits of improved circulation, weight loss, and detoxification versus traditional exercise. 

Wholystic Aim Therapies on Peel Road opened in early February and offers exercise to help those needing physical therapy to help with healing and systemic issues. It also offers therapeutic massage to release trigger points.  

Was social engagement on your list?   Meet up for a cuppa at BeanPunk Coffee on College St. and enjoy a unique steampunk theme while also enjoying light breakfast fare. Then, stroll through the Lone Star First Saturday monthly farmers market in Montgomery’s Historic District. Hours are from 9 AM - 2 PM on the first Saturday of every month and you could pick up local, homegrown or handcrafted goods.  

MARCH 9-10 See a spooky symposium and give your honey a squeeze. The Inaugural Bayou City Paranormal Symposium features guest speakers, vendors and the Ouija board museum. 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m. (Sat.), 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (Sun.). $60 (Sat.), $40 (Sun.), $90 (both days). March 9th attend BACH, BEETHOVEN & BARBECUE, a fundraising barbeque dinner to benefit the Young Texas Artists Music Competition from 5-11:30 PM which includes dinner, live music, and an auction. Purchase tickets by calling 936-441-SHOW.  

A visit to the Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary in Montgomery can help you to learn more about wolves and hybrid dogs while donating to their sanctuary.  

Wine and beer tasting something you enjoy? Abandoned Animal Rescue is having their annual event on March 24 from 4-7pm at the Balmorhea at 33400 Wright Road. Tickets are selling out fast for this one. Check out events@aartexas.org
