As the years go by, it’s only natural to accumulate more personal items, from gifts we receive from friends and family, to objects we buy for ourselves, to cherished works of art our kids spend hours working on at school. One by one these things get brought home and placed somewhere in our house, whether it’s a prominent position on the fridge or fireplace mantel, or just kind of tucked away, in a drawer or under a bed. Over time this all starts to add up, especially since many of us have a hard time letting go of old items to make way for new ones. This leaves us with a surplus of stuff around the house and thus, clutter begins to mount.
