Pumpkin Vases

Mini gourds become bud vases for ranunculuses, mums and dahlias when you chop the tops off. Keep blooms perky by cutting the bottoms off water bottles and using them as hidden vases.

Hot Toddy Mocktail

Does it count if you drink your apple a day? Because this mocktail is the epitome of fall in a cup. To make this family-friendly treat, carve out the apple centers, pour in warm cider and serve with cinnamon-stick straws and star anise.

Door Decor

I spy with my little eye … super easy decor! Some oversized googly eyes make a front door and plants pop.

Witch’s Brew

Here’s an easy way to make your bottles of soda or beer a little more holiday-ready! Just download our Witch’s Brew bottle wrap template and cut out the labels to and tape around soda bottles. If you want to create witches’ hat straws as well, just cut out two 3″ circle out of black paper and punch a hole in the center of one. Slide a straw through the hole. Cut the other circle in half and roll to create a cone around the straw, gluing or taping in place. Glue or tape the cone to the paper circle to create a witch hat.

Splatter Paint Candy Bags

Use these treat bags to dole out assorted candy as party favors! To make them, just mix water with acrylic paint until it reaches the consistency of heavy cream. Coat a craft brush with paint and then lightly tap it repeatedly over a small muslin drawstring bag. You can also use an old toothbrush by dipping it into paint and then, using your finger, flick the bristles onto the bag. Let it dry completely and repeat on other side.

Bright-Eyed Cat Garland

What’s spookier than a cat on Halloween? This DIY string light garland makes perfect holiday party decor. To make it, trace a cat face shape on your choice of colored paper approximately 20 times (depending on how long you want the garland to be). Then, use a hole puncher to punch out eye holes on the cat faces. Slide string lights into the hole-punched eyes, then plug in and enjoy!

Reusable Lanterns

Old tins double as Halloween lanterns when you (carefully!) etch out a pumpkin pattern.
