Define your search criteria: You need to define what you want a house; do you want to live close to your work, the school district is important to you or what kind of house do you want such as a townhouse with a small yard or single-family house with a big backyard, do you like to live suburban area or you like to live in the city.

Find a local Realtor: Ones you decide your criteria another crucial step is finding a Realtor. Look if she/he is experienced and know the local market and you and he/she needs to get a mutual agreement. You should feel that you can trust her and work with her.

Narrow your search: Before you come here, narrow your search list because most probably you won't have much time to spend. 

Know my market: You can search and at the same time your realtor can help you to understand how real estate transaction occurs in that area, what is your rights, what things you need to consider and how is the market right now. That way you can process your transaction in a trusty and smooth way.
