July 11-Aug. 3: Practice golf
Cypress Lakes Golf Course will host a summer golf camp for students ages 6-14. There are four three-day sessions scheduled in July and August.

July 13-Aug. 6: Watch a kid-friendly summer musical
The return of the original summer musical production “Power Up: The Musical!” is taking place all month long. The storyline is about a kid named Ollie who spends time playing a retro-inspired video game, discovering new challenges and achievements along the way.

July 13-Aug. 11: Attend summer camps at iCode
This summer, kids ages 4-18 can attend summer camps in computer science and technology topics beginning with “Minecraft: Modding Adventure.”
July 13-Sept. 17: Check out a new health exhibit
Trillions of microbes make their homes inside human bodies, and a new exhibit aims to introduce guests to the complex world inside humans. Guests at the new interactive exhibit "Zoo in You" can learn about microbial companions, where they live and what ways scientists are discovering how important they are to personal health.

July 14: Enjoy barbecue and country music
Goode Co. Armadillo Palace is hosting multiple country artists this summer. Guests are invited to enjoy the live music and food, such as queso, chicken skewers and green chile empanadas. For July 14, Tyler Halverson will perform, and for July 28, Dale Watson will perform.

July 15: Support local businesses at a summer art jam
Moody Center for the Arts is hosting a family-friendly community event that includes an indoor local market, food and drink vendors, and art activities for all ages.
July 15-16: Learn how to oil paint
The Conroe Art League will host an intro to oil painting class for teens. The class will include how to use supplies, understanding the fundamentals of oil painting, color mixing and color application. Participants will also paint a landscape or still-life oil-based painting with the guidance of a teacher. It is open to ages 15-18. Supplies will be provided.
July 15-16: Bridal Extravaganza Show
The Bridal Extravaganza Show, the largest bridal planning showcase in the U.S., will return to the George R. Brown Convention Center featuring fashion shows, cakes, gowns and local vendors. The show will feature cake samples, decor, flowers, fashion shows, a gown gallery of over 200 wedding dresses, multiple Instagram walls for selfies, speaker presentations on the latest bridal fashion and trends, and entertainment from Houston’s top wedding professionals.
