Your Home - Living Healthy

Do you ever feel sluggish? Or worn out? Or just have the desire to be sedentary for long periods of time? As there are many reasons for these different moods, the main reason may simply be your current lifestyle. This can be based on certain given factors:*Diet, Habits, Activities, Influences, etc*

You may find yourself wanting to change for the better, for a healthier way of living, or wishing you had more energy so you can go about your day better. Don't fret, for we have gathered a rather straightforward list for you to help bring the changes you need to impact your lifestyle for the better!
  • Drink more water. Most of us actually don't drink enough water every day. Water is essential for our bodies to function. Water is needed to carry out body functions, remove waste, and carry nutrients and oxygen around our body.
  • Get enough sleep. When you don't sleep well, you compensate by eating more. And usually it's junk food. Get enough sleep and you won't need to snack to stay awake.
  • Exercise. Not just a few times a week, but every day. It doesn't have to be a full-blown body-building, exhausting workout; take a walk, do some stretchies - just get moving - because movement is life! Research has shown that exercising daily brings tremendous benefits to our health, including increased lifespan, lowering the risk of diseases, higher bone density, and weight loss.
    - Pick exercises you enjoy.
    - Work out different parts of your body.
  • Eat more fruits. Fruits contain a plethora of vitamins and minerals. Satisfy your palate with these nutritious fruits: Watermelon, Apricots, Avocado, Apple, Cantaloupe, Grapefruit, Kiwi, Guava, Papaya, Strawberries.
  • Cut down on processed food. Processed foods are not good for you because (1) most nutritional value is lost in the processing of these foods and (2) the added preservatives are bad for your health. Many processed foods contain a high amount of salt content, which leads to higher blood pressure and heart disease.
  • Purge the negative from your life. Positive mental health is an important part of a healthy life. You don't need toxic people in your life. You don't need negativity from yourself either. Listen to the thoughts that come up in your mind and get rid of the negative thoughts that you hear.
