Social Media Trap

June 17th, 2017

SOCIAL MEDIA TRAP!

Your Social Media represents different things to different users.  It can be a valuable resource for keeping up with your circle of friends and family.  It can be a place to find out what's going on in your area from entertainement to dining and more.  For Realtors, it can be a place to post current listings and trends.  But it can be a TIME VAMPIRE too stealing hours of time from your day scrolling through miles of uninteresting or worthless content.  Here is a tip.  Take time to personalize your page and pay attention to your settings.  When a user friend continuously posts items that you find no value in, perhaps you can eliminate them or at least control what or how often you see these posts.  Your Timeline can grow like cancer in you do not take charge over it.  I recommend that you turn it into a valuable asset and tailor your settings and friends to suit your best interests.  In addition, pay attention to how much time you spend there.  Allow your self the opportunity to catch up there daily, but remember to be cautious and not allow the vampire to suck the life out of the rest of your day!
