Looking for something to do next weekend?

April 29th, 2014

I lived in Houston most of my life. Four years away in boarding schools, and six years in the Air Force, but my home has always been Houston,Tx. That being said, I did not realize that there was a lake as big as Lake Houston until about five years ago, so close and so nice. Camping, fishing, and water sports, like tubing and wake boarding.

There are several places to put a boat in the water. Lake Houston Marina, Deussen Park, San Jacinto Park.

If your looking at doing something fun with the family, check out the Lake Houston, Huffman, Humble, Atascocita, area.

Check out this web page for more info. http://www.lakehouston.org

  • Lake Houston is a reservoir on the west fork of the San Jacinto River, 15 miles northeast of downtown Houston, Texas, USA. The reservoir is the secondary municipal water supply for the city of Houston after Lake Livingston. Wikipedia
