29 homes sold in Midtown Houston in the month of August, 5 detached homes and 24 townhomes/condos. This is up 84% from last August, which saw 16 total sales. No doubt last August’s numbers were effected by the expiration of the first time home buyer tax credit earlier in 2010.
Active Listings
There are 160 properties currently on the market, 46 detached homes and 114 townhomes/condos. In August, 34 new listings came on the market and 29 sellers reduced their price.
Home Prices
The median home price in Midtown over the past 12 months is $227,500. Overall, this is down approximately 2% from last year when the median sales price was $231,125.
