The Fed nce again raised interest rates another quarter point.
This is going just as I had anticipated back in January, after the Fed's first rate increase of 0.25% in December of 2016. Like I said then, these rising rates are no surprise, for a couple of reasons:
The Fed had already stated it would likely continue to raise interest rates.
As the economy has continued to hold up, which is of course a good thing, a gradual removal of the interest rate accommodation is appropriate to mind inflation.
I feel compelled to let potential buyers know how these rising interest rates will affect their future mortgage. The truth is, if you know you need to buy or are even thinking about it, the difference between acting now and acting later could be a difference of thousands of dollars a year before you know it.
