Everyone knows that Traffic is a necessary evil of lliving in a large city. alot of people dont know that of all the directions leading into and out of Downtown Houston, That the Northeast is the most pain free commute of any artery. The Eastex freeway is rarely mentioned in Traffic alerts unless their is an Accident.
One of the reasons that I picked the Atascocita/Kingwood area to live in besides the Trees and great Schools was that the Eastex was the only freeway at the time to be completed and appeared to be planned to handle future traffic needs as well. this has proven to be true some 15 years later and even with the tremendous growth that has come it still is the best commute.. additionally its proximity to the Airport and several east west roadways make travelng easier
