I wanted to share a few suggestions with you incase you are visiting soon and are not sure where to start. I included some of my favorite restaurants, attractions, model homes to visit and even open houses! I hope you find this list helpful during your stay, especially if it is your first visit.

Places To Experience

iFLY Indoor Skydiving – iFly in the Houston area has state-of-the-art wind tunnels, and is open to all ages. You don’t need to have any experience either—they’ll teach you! Whether you’re planning your next corporate team building outing, a birthday party, or a fun activity with friends, iFly could be the unique experience you’re looking for!

The Escape Game Houston – We provide you with a unique and exciting experience. You and your team will enter an immersive environment where you’ll have 60 minutes to follow clues, solve puzzles, and complete your mission! You might escape. You will have fun!

Houston Arboretum & Nature Center - This 155-acre urban green space offers nature trails, exhibits, workshops and events in various habitats.

Beer Can House - The Beer Can House, a folk art house built from 1968–1988 using 50,000+ recycled beer cans, offers guided tours to the public.

Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park – The Waterwall is one of Houston’s most beloved, iconic landmarks. To stand in its mist and be enveloped by the gentle roar of cascading water is one of the city’s most memorable experiences. Walking along its lush canopy of towering live oak trees while in the heart of one of the largest business districts in the nation is inspiring.

Parks to Visit 

Spring Valley Village City Park - Its a beautiful, small park thats perfect for kids to play and have fun. It features a playground, picnic tables, water fountain, swings, pavilion and more!

Glenmore Forest Park -This fenced park features a water fountain and play equipment, as well as a walking trail.

Henry Froehner Pocket Park - Bring your dog to walk around our park! Theres plenty of room for running and playing, including a gazebo for shade. They also have a playground for children and open fields for picnics.

Hedwig Park - You can walk around this park, which features playgrounds and swings as well as covered picnic tables.

Freed Park - This is a community park that provides a playground, sports field, and hike/bike trail next to the Freed Community Center.

Haden Park - A neighborhood park with grassy areas and shady trees, as well as a paved trail for running and biking.

Schwartz Park - This park offers a pool, trails for walking or running and sports facilities including basketball, baseball, and tennis.

Housman Pocket Park - This park is a must visit for friends and kids. The park has a gazebo, water fountain, two playgrounds, a fire truck, and much more for everyone to enjoy.

Restaurants

Casa de Leon - The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere, good service and delicious food. They serve a wide range of selection from all-day breakfast to dinner and more!

Jonathans The Rub - A warm steakhouse with Italian- and American-inspired dishes, plus a cocktail bar.

Federal American Grill - A casual steakhouse with exposed-brick walls and a lively bar serving contemporary American dishes, plus signature cocktails.

Patagonia Grill & Cafe - A charming, upscale restaurant that serves delicious Argentine steaks, seafood and exotic meats.

Goode Company BBQ - This spacious restaurant offers classic dishes in an old-fashioned cafeteria-style setup.

Avalon Diner - A popular diner with an all-American menu serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, favorite for blue-plate specials.

Saltgrass Steak House - The Texas-themed restaurant features a full bar and a meaty menu amid its cattle-themed decor.

Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina - This restaurant serves classic and modern dishes from Tex-Mex cuisine in a large, industrial-chic space with patio dining.

Fajita Petes - You can count on this unpretentious Mexican restaurant to serve up your favorite fajitas, enchiladas, and other traditional Mexican dishes at the counter.

Campbell Pizza Fino - The restaurant is a straightforward pizzeria chain with a classic menu of pies, pasta dishes, wings, subs, and sides.

Voss - This is an amazing neighborhood located in Spring Valley Village tx. With easy access to Award winning schools, private Police & Fire, City Park. Resident enjoy a vibrant community with lushly mature landscaping and old-city ambiance. The neighborhoods park offers picnic areas, hiking and biking trails, childrens play areas and splash pools. Plus, residents can anticipate a rich variety of events throughout the year.

Spring Valley Chase - This is an amazing neighborhood the large homes sit on large lots and residents enjoy peaceful locations with easy access to elementary, middle, and high schools. There is also easy access to major highways and airports. Residents enjoy community events, as well as the lush green spaces that are perfect for a morning or evening stroll.

Merlin Place - This is an amazing neighborhood. This neighborhood is nestled in the heart of Spring Valley Village which has a lovely community park. They have everything you could possibly want from a neighborhood. Great schools, great parks and so much more!
