Want to get your hands a little dirty? Local farm in Alvin, Tx encourages you to pick your own produce. Fruit and vegetable picking are year round with some off-seasons.

Froberg’s has your regular row of vegetables; peas, green beans, cucumbers. For a treat, you can enjoy their kale, collards, turnips, and okra. April and May are ripe with bell peppers, cabbage, collards, kale, mustard, strawberries, turnips, blackberries, cucumbers, and eggplant.

Strawberry-picking, their most popular attraction, usually starts in January and ends in late May. U-Pick activities are different than store hours. Call the store ahead of time to check availability and weather conditions.

Visiting the store year round will reward you with selections of homemade Fried Pies, Jelly, Jams & Preserves, Dried Fruit & Vegetables, Candy, Trail Mix & Snacks and much more.

Froberg’s Farm Store hours are Monday through Sunday, 8 am – 6 pm.
