Navasota Texas, An Up and Coming Town!

Posted by Danielle Gottfried

Could Navasota, just 20 miles south of Texas A&M, be the next sought after town?

Navasota, located in charming Grimes County Texas, is a wonderful quaint town, rich in history with many beautiful historic homes. It also has unique shops, golf courses, live music and hosts the renowned annual Blues Fest as well as other popular events. Navasota reminds me of the Houston Heights- just a few years ago. CNN Money just put the Houston Heights at No.4 on their list of top 10 big-city neighborhoods. Could Navasota become the next sought after town?

Navasota is centrally located. As they say in real estate, Location! Location! Location!

Navasota is just 20 miles south of Texas A&M-College Station, 25 miles east of Historic Brenham, 45 minutes west of Huntsville, 1-hour northwest of Houston, a 2 hour drive from Austin, San Antonio is 175 miles to the southwest, Dallas/Fort Worth is about 188 miles to the north; and Waco is 112 miles to the north.

In addition to its close proximity to Texas A&M, Blinn College also has two campuses nearby-one in Brenham 25 miles away and one in Bryan 25 miles away.

This small town has been spending a lot on improvements and beautification. It  has a fabulous  new 2 story municipal building , has rehabilitated and paved 18 blocks of street, built a  new $45,000 Skate Park, made of cement,  improved the airport and much more. Yes, it has an airport! Bring your plane! No rush hour!

Navasota’s housing market offers very affordable home prices. If you are looking to purchase a beautiful mansion to live in or operate as a Bed and Breakfast, Bogart’s Casablanca Bed and Breakfast, comprised of three contiguous properties could be exactly what you are looking for. It is presently operating as a full Bed and Breakfast facility. It also serves as an elegant wedding facility, hosts many private and public events including luncheons, dinners, wine tasting, corporate gatherings and retreats, holiday events and much more.
