Do you answer business calls, emails, and text messages-or do you ignore them
until you HAVE to answer or never answer? If you do not reply to these
contacts-why not? And how's that working for you? Does it matter to you how
your clients, other Realtors, title companies and everyone you have a business
relationship with views you? If it does not, you are losing money, earning a
reputation for non-professionalism, and definitely making it easy for others to
avoid doing business with you.
This kind of non-TCB attitude seems to be more and more prevalent in the real estate industry as well as the mortgage companies and their people. I will leave it at these two groups for now, as many of the title companies are not as bad about responding.
Not responding to buyers, sellers, Realtors, and all other parties to a transaction is
one of THE MOST frustrating parts of any deal. Many times I want to ask people,
what the heck are you thinking-if you are thinking. And I wonder if they really know
or care about the client or anyone else. For mortgage people, we Realtors are their
clients, along with the buyers. I am not happy with a mortgage person right now who promises to do something and does not-then will not return calls or emails promptly. But yet will always come around asking for business. What's it going to take to improve this situation? More training? What? Any suggestions??? Let me hear from you out there!!
