Present Your Home In Its Best Light!  Nobody likes to walk into a dark, dreary drab room, so if you know your home is about to be shown, open the blinds or shades/drapes and let the natural light shine in.  If it's hot or humid outside, make sure you have all the ceiling fans on, it creates a nice breeze, keeps the house from smelling musty or stale.

If you have pets or smoke  (I hope not because "smoker" homes are hard to sell), be sure you have some fragrance "plug-ins" throughout your home, especially at the entrance ..When they walk in, you want a pleasant odor to hit them and if you have teenage boys, please put one in their room, especially, so it won't have that "boys locker room" smell..All you parents know what I mean.

When is the last time you took a long hard look at your home and how it appears to others?  If you are too ashamed to let anybody inside, there's your answer.  Get busy, clean up, spruce up; not only will you feel better but your house loves a "make over" every once in a great while. Musty smells, dirty drapes, dark rooms don't get homes SOLD, EVER!

What books do you read?  Please don't leave unsightly reading out on your counters, tables, etc.  Buyers will make a judgement, like it or not.  No porno, religion, or political "anything,"  because it may not be what they will agree with or "warm up to."  Don't give them a reason not to like your home based on outside "stuff."  Remember your whole house "tells a story" about you..

Put away those personal photos..You may think that's cute, the one of the Keg Party where everybody is dancing and falling into the pool but if they are not of the same "mind," well, you get the idea?

Your home needs to appeal to a lot of buyers before you get one who may make an offer.  So decorate carefully.  Try to look at your home from another perspective..You can't please everybody and you don't have to; just be reasonable..

If you're ready to put your home on the market, pick up the phone and call me NOW.  We have an inventory shortage, and lots of buyers.
