The newest announced min-version of The Woodlands is Grand Central Park. Located at the intersection of Interstate 45 and Loop 336 in Conroe, the 2,047 acre community is being created by Johnson Development. Managing the creation of Grand Park Central will be Virgil Yoakum, a veteran of successful master-planned communities that include The Woodlands and Woodforest.

Phase one will be West Village on the northwestern corner of the development that will consit of patio homes, townhomes, and single-family. Access will be via Loop 336 across from the Conroe Regional Medical complex. This location is ideal to minimize I-45 road noise pollution.
The balance of the frontage on Loop 336 and I-45 will be the retail 336 Marketplace and Business Center. Borrowing from The Woodlands concept, there will be a Town Center with adjacent high-density urban living.

Identical to The Woodlands formula, this master-planned community will feature two man-made lakes and numerous ponds. Deer Lake will remind visitors of The Waterway and/or Hughes Landing.

Currently Grand Lake is located within a natural open space southwest of the initial residential and commercial areas. Depending upon topography and drainage, the natural open area could soon resemble a version of East Shore and the neighborhoods on the west side of Lake Woodlands.

Grand Central Park will be located within the Conroe Independent School district with the following schools:
