**New school zone times for DPISD**
When the school bells ring Aug. 23, the day will be a little longer for Deer Park ISD students, which means changes to the city's school zones. As a result of Texas House Bill 2610, the school day is extended 15 minutes, which puts afternoon school zone times from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. Morning school zones are not affected.
