LJ Parkway Opens to Commonwealth Boulevard
Getting around the Sugar Land area just got easier, thanks to the opening of the final extension of LJ Parkway to Commonwealth Boulevard.
The section, about a third of a mile, meets Commonwealth just north of Palm Royale Boulevard. The roadway allows travelers to access Austin Parkway, Sweetwater Boulevard and Lexington Boulevard without driving on Highway 6.
The 3.6-mile LJ Parkway, named after Johnson Development Corp. Founder Larry Johnson, is a main artery through Riverstone. It merges with Sienna Springs Drive in Sienna Plantation, another Johnson Development community, connecting with Sienna Parkway near the Fort Bend Parkway.
