Re-purposing ~ NOT Retiring!

Re-purposing ~ NOT Retiring! My husband and I are at the age where many of our friends are "retiring". Some are taking early retirement packages and others are simply ready to move on. As we have been attending various retirement celebrations, it occurred to me that for most they are not really "retiring", rather they are RE-PURPOSING their lives. As we all have worked and toiled in mostly specific types of work, to re-purpose then means to do an entirely different or new thing. This is exciting! For myself personally, I don't ever plan to retire! I plan on staying busy and active no matter what I am doing. The dictionary defines the word Re-purpose as: To adapt for use in a different purpose. Retirement on the other hand means to cease an activity! I don't plan to cease being active at all! Not until I am 6 feet under that is.  Do you think about your re-purposing time? Have you made plans? What steps do you need to make in order to re-purpose your life? Why not spend a little time reflecting on these questions? Being intentional about your future is so important!
