Since the end of 2015, Arel Capital has been renovating the old River Oaks apartment complex at 3433 Westheimer in a $100 million condo conversion. That work in now complete and The River Oaks is now finished and is selling fast.
The 600-unit, 17-story apartment buildingwas converted to a 87-unit highend condomenium with a 1,600 sq foot unit starting at about $900,000 and going up to $13 miilion for the 13,000 sq foot penthouse.
The eagerly anticipated sky-rise has all the high end amenity that matches that one would expect in a ultra-luxury condo project, including its hand-selected Italian Carrara marble, Gaggenau appliances, and Poggenpohl cabinetry. Not to be forgotten there is a bold plan for an art collection for The River Oaks’ common areas, including the works of Stanley Whitney and Liliana Porter.
