Make the most of this beautiful spring in 2012.  If you are thinking about selling this spring, it is time to get your home in shape quickly.

Yard - Selling in the spring, Be sure to clear winter yard debris.  Keep your yard fresh looking, groom and plant.  Add color

Home Spring Cleaning - Spruce up your space in the spring, so scrub away! A sparkling home will impress buyers and make your home seem even more appealing.

Box up Winter – Bulky winter clothes take up lots of space, so move them out as you de-clutter your closets. You want the buyer to see all the closet space.

Spruce up the entryway. If you’re welcome mat is covered with winter dirt, pick up a new one. A clean, pretty doorway will help set the tone for the entire showing.

Let the Spring In -  Bring the aroma indoors. We know scents have a profound effect on mood, so infusing scent into your decor with diffusers, candles, fresh cut plants/flowers, or incense can change the overall feeling of a space. Use moderately.  Light fragrance.

Bright Bedroom - Tuck away the heavy, winter flannel comforter and pull out crisp linens with coverlets for color. Bring in the spring with floral-designed spreads or colorful solids. Don't forget accent pillows for added style and comfort.

Enjoy Your Spring!

  • I wanted a "People to People" page to share thoughts with my visitors and because I thought real estate was a people business.

    Is it?

I have begun to wonder. Has the internet with its tremendous capacity to publish what was once considered hard to obtain information along with Multiple Listing Services (MLS) information, school ratings, crime and community profiles, taken the people OUT of real estate transactions.

Property owners do educate themselves on values, the latest lending rates and information for qualifying for a loan along with a plethora of information on buying and selling a home. Our consumers are more informed and armed.

"People vs. the Internet" Consumers still select a Realtor in the way they always have-PERSONAL CONTACT.

Of course the internet makes it possible for a faster pace. We use the internet and gain the advantage over those who do not. We obtain data, online mortgage, email, and worldwide searches. It is true the internet is changing the way real estate transactions are being performed.

With all this we are still "People Dealing Directly with People".

I am here to help you with the Successful Result.

Tip 1.  Only burn dried cured wood, split and dried 8-12 Months
Tip 2.  Burn Firewood and only firewood, other woods could release unwanted chemicals.
Tip 3.  Close damper when not using your fireplace.  Prevents warm indoor air from escape.
Tip 4.  Have a chimney cap installed, keeps objects from falling in, allows smoke to escape.
Tip 5.  Get your chimney cleaned.

Remember A cord is 4 feet high by 4 feet wide by 8 feet long, or the amount that would fill two full-size pickup trucks.

    Have a nice warm winter.

There is still a lot of negativity in the marketplace regarding real estate and the economy on a national level. That news is actually pretty correct, but remember this old adage: Real estate is always local. The Texas Hill Country is a special place and even in the tough times there are people who are committed to coming here, living here, working here and raising their family or spending their retirement here. The local market is better than you might think.

“Do the right thing”. That was when my real estate ball began to roll.
It is not always about the money in your pocket although that helps.  I had a referral call and really needed this close.  The man says "Well I have a friend that is going to list my house, he has sold me several home but he is fishing and will not be back until Tuesday"  I was able to "Do the right thing"  I will go  on to build my real estate profession with The Property Source. Through it all may we never forget  the impact integrity has and continues to have on my life. May we teach others to  ‘do the right thing’ it is possible to literally change the course of someone’s life.

As we enter a new decade, let’s renew our commitment to ‘do the right thing’ in all aspects of our lives. And, just as our integrity is able to impact and change the course of the lives of those around us, it has the power to change our world!
