Wow, Matrix really sucks!

Can't see different categories of listings at the same time, can't see a list of houses along side the maps, can't use the back button when searching listings without wiping out search criteria... the inferiorities vs. Tempo go on and on. We managed to standardize on the worst product. Why?

Being a new agent I can see the benefits of it, and even the current platform is outdated and they just switched. Anyway, I hope you've found the swing of things.

I did attend the training, and no, you cannot see a list of houses alongside the maps. Because I specifically asked that question at the training. I repeatedly tried Matrix prior to being locked in, and hated it. Still do. Perhaps it can do more, but it does not do what I need it to.

Hello Dottie,

Technology changes and we have to keep up with it. The way you are used to have been changed. As suggested, take some of those free HAR classes and you will get much familiar with the new tool. I was a tempo users and I didn't want to let it go. I have now been using Matrix effectively and I feel that I can achieve more now with this tool.

Once you go over the learning curve, you will see how much this tool can offer. Good Luck!

I understand frustration and I can't really comment on how big of a deal it was to use previous versions for a long time and then be forced to learn something new, I just haven't been in the business long enough. However, as a newer agent I did get my hands wet with tempo and Fusion for almost 2 years and will say confidently that Matrix is hands down a better system. It's faster, you can do a lot more with it and I can easily send clients a much more professional presentation, quicker and easier. It is very different and it would be difficult to learn it after a long history with another program, but it is better and easier once you learn it.

I agree, learning something new once you have become so accustomed to doing it one way is never easy. I thought exactly the same thing when I started learning it. Personally, I still kind of think fusion was more user-friendly than some features of Matrix, however, the more I work in it, the more it is starting to grow on me. It's definitely a lot faster to log into than Fusion. to answer your question though, you actually can have more that one screen at once. just right hold your cursor over the search tab at the top and right click on the desired search and click open a new tab. this will allow you to stay logged into the current session and have more than one search going on at the same time. DO NOT click on another search without doing this because otherwise you will lose the current search you were doing. Good Luck, Hope this helps!

What s&^% is change. As Realtors we are often required to move quickly and efficiently in a short period of time. We had tempo so long we could use it in our sleep. I played with matrix before the cutoff, did not attend classes yet but will on Tuesday. It appears to be feature loaded with abilities we need. It will take time to "retrain" ourselves. Grasp it, use it, flourish.

Best of luck.

Matrix uses new technology and mobile-friendly. Agents often hate changing to new MLS systems. Every time an MLS switches systems, satisfaction ratings plummet, even if the new system offers better features and performance.

Get free HAR training on Matrix and do report defects of Matrix so that CoreLogic (solution owner of Matrix) resolves those issues.

Dear Dotie,

Take the classes provided by HAR. They are free, helpful. To mention names of these classes: Matrix Essentials, Matrix Overview, CMA Price it Right, Matrix Add and Edit. And also not the forget online webinar Basics of Matrix. Once you took these trainings you can be a Matrix Guru :)
Have fun.

Yes, you can do those things. Looks a little different, but Matrix is way better than Tempo. Keep trying.

Actually with proper training, you will love Matrix. It does so much more that Tempo or Fusion could have ever offered. You have to use the system to get familiar with it and to become comfortable with it. We were given a massive amount of time to get up to speed, but unfortunate that not many took advantage of the training opportunities that were provided. I know because I taught the classes and had several classes that were below even the minimum attendance. Too many of you all did not believe the switch was going to happen.
