There is no cost to buyer to hire realtor to find houses available for lease. Real Estate Agents have more data to find you a place with your specific criteria.

Hi David,

Having a real estate agent is not a must, while highly recommended. You do not pay any fee to your agent, we are paid by landlord or property management company. Working with a real estate agent will ease your house hunt. We can: update you on the house status, rental might show available on website despite there is an application on progress, negotiate the price and other terms and conditions, can arrange showings, help you through the process, paper work etc.

We are real estate professionals and here to help you.

David,

To answer your question, no, you do not need an agent to help you find a place to rent or to rent it. However, typically, as the buyer/leaser, using an agent will actually not cost you anything and it is our job to help you, so in the long run, it's helpful to have someone working for you that can search properties and do the leg work that otherwise you might not have the time or desire to do.

If you need any assistance, certainly feel free to reach out!

Hello David,

You will not pay any fee when an agent finds you a house to lease. For you it is free since the landlord pays the fee. Reach out to me and let me know what your budget is, area you are interested in and I am pretty sure I can find the right house for your needs.

Hi David,

If the home was offered by a real estate firm then you should get an agent of your own; one you trust. If you do not, and call the listing agent, the broker will assign one to you or will act as an intermediary. Listing agents and brokers work for the home owner. Having your own agent working for you and your best interest can help to negotiate terms of the lease, explain the process and help to guide you through the process. They can also do more detailed searches of homes for rent in the area(s) you are looking to move to.

The cost of an agent is paid by the listing broker and the deal they have with the home owner.

I have helped many families find rental homes in Houston.
